A Review on Human–Robot Proxemics

An emerging trend in utilizing service robots a vast range of application areas could be seen nowadays as promising effort to uplift the living standard. These are intended used by non-expert users, and their tasks often require navigation human-populated environments. Thus, human-friendly behavior is expected from these users. A robot should aware Human–Robot Proxemics (HRP) facilitate behavior. This paper presents review on HRP. Both user studies conducted for exploring HRP preferences methods developed toward establishing awareness considered within scope review. The available literature has been scrutinized identify limitations state art potential future work. Furthermore, important parameters revealed existing summarized under one roof smooth availability data required developing HRP-aware robots.
